Sweet Sheep

 I don't even remember where I found this cute sheep with a red ribbon and bell already on it, I think I got it at a thrift store for 50 cents It's very lightweight and looks so cute standing besides my little Nicole Sayer dolls.




I am doing just a short post because of i'm short on time before I head out to work and I'm going out to dinner after work with my friend who is 102 years old and his son and grandson from Munich Germany.

I am still trying to get Christmas out a little at a time. It's always so fun to get it out and arrange it. Hope we all have a great day.

Getting Started With Christmas Decor

Well the dig is on to get boxes of Christmas stuff out of the basements closets and storage room.




I am also trying o decide which trees to use this year feather trees, aluminum trees or my big white tree ? I bought a small green tree at an estate sale not long ago and may try to use it somewhere.




I brought my Byers Carolers Stove and Granny making cookies upstairs to set on my kitchen bar. Do you remember when these were very collectible? They still are in some stores I have seen anyway


I have had 3 days off work and it's been wonderful. I got to do a few things around my yard which still needed done before really cold weather and got my outdoor wreath up on my house and a few little Christmas decor out .
It's back to work tomorrow so will try to do a little after work in the evening which I'm not good at.
I come home and want to  set in my recliner and unwind from my stressful job

I even wrapped 4 Christmas packages today !!!! I'm going to wrap them as I buy them instead of waiting till Christmas week then trying to wrap 50 packages at one time.
Which way do you do it ? Also which trees are you going with this year?

Turkey Time

I am almost ready for Thanksgiving Day at my house, it will be a late Thanksgiving dinner since I get off work at 4:30 pm. However it will still be delicious.

I worked on setting my table last night after work and cleaned my silver turkey dome and large tray it sets on. The serving tray was a trophy for some horse show, it has an engraving on tray and I seen it last night for the first time and I have had this tray for years, I like it because it has the handles on the ends and feet on the bottom

.
Also this year instead of using a table cloth I purchased this paper with leaves and acorns on it and using it for a table runner on the table and my counter. I set my huge velvet pumpkin in middle of table till we put dinner on the table



Used my green glasses I got at Tuesday Morning once, I usually use clear crystal glasses but wanted some color with any brown and white transfer plates



Since I don't have enough large turkey plates I fill in with my brown and white transfer ship plates



My dome is so shinny clean you can see me taking the picture. When I was much younger I remember older friends and family saying they quit using their silver because it was to hard to clean, I understand that is why usually just one piece at a time is clean at my house .



I hope everyone including our homeless have a good meal someplace this Thanksgiving . I just have a few of the colored luncheon plates

Happy Birthday

Well it's time to celebrate another Happy Birthday to me. I had such a great fun day with my local buddies . Karen who is a Tasha Tudor fan had lunch for me and some more of our friends at her charming wonderful house.

It was a Downton Abbey luncheon minus the head butler LOL We had a beautiful table setting all the china, silver and of course hot tea was served.



My daughter Terra, Karen, Bernideen Jo, Me and Gina was there and Karen's two large cats

We toured her wonderful house after lunch and looked in and under all her cabinets at all the fabulous china and dishes she has collected through the years. Also looked through several books about Tasha Tudor Karen has

Then of course here was presents for me !!! yeah Look at this adorable Tea Cozy Bernideen made me . You hardly see my Burleigh calico tea pot however it's there

of course lots presents


I got truffles for my Mackenzie Childs recipe box that I said I would use for candy or jewelry not recipes



I got grocery's  LOL yum





I got this Downton Abbey clip board Bernideen made and added my Louis Vuitton luggage to the Down Abbey scene . Matching pencil box or utensil box ?

New Love

Once again I have fallen in love with another kitchen item. I have seen this black and white MacKenzie checked items for a few years however I always bought blue and white china for my kitchen. Now I have the bug for these items.
I was surfing through TV channels one evening and run across Evine and the MacKenzie Child items. It was just overwhelming to see so much of course I wanted it all. I knew I would use the Teapot so after seeing it two different days I ordered it

I ordered what they call a recipe box however I will use it for a different use in different rooms in my house. What about putting some chocolate truffles in it ?  I thought also I could put it on my dresser and put some bracelets in it. It's a good size not like the small recipe boxes from the 1970's




I set the teapot on my Burleigh cake plate to see how the blue and white and black and white will blend together in my messy kitchen.




I hate to use it now. The bottom is white and my glass top stove needs cleaned so will do a good cleaning before I use it ,I don't want the bottom of the white teapot dirty after using it,right? I got the large size also.




LOVE IT

 I bought some material at Joann's to make me a plaid tablecloth black and white with a red thread run through it, now I need an apron ,don't you think? since I spend lots time in my kitchen

Tell me not to buy anything else to match the teapot and recipe box in Mackenzie Child's pattern LOL

because it cost so much I'm sure this will be my entire collection.

I'm going to a luncheon / tea party Saturday and I want to take these along for show and tell LOL
Then I'm going to visit some old friends who are dear and near to my heart
